HONEY BOURBON VENISON ROAST

If you’re looking to try something a little more creative than the typical onion soup mix roast, you’ve come to the right place! The flavors are out of this world. You will certainly be coming back for seconds.

Prep Time: 10 minutes

Cook Time: 6-8 hours


Ingredients:

Venison Roast

1/2 cup Honey

1/2 cup Brown Sugar, Packed

1 14.5 oz can Beef Broth

1/2 cup Bourbon

1/4 cup Soy Sauce

1 tbsp Worcestershire

4-5 Medium Carrots, Chopped into Thick Pieces

1 Large Onion, Chopped

Salt & Pepper, to taste

Cooking Instructions:

  1. Combine all ingredients except the carrots into the slow cooker and cook and low 6-8 hours.

  2. Halfway through add the carrots. (If you are unable to do this step due to time constraints, add them in the beginning and cut them at least 1 inch thick)

  3. After the 6-8 hours remove carrots for serving on the side. Shred the meat with two forks.

  4. Serve on toasted bun or by itself.
