Can Cooker Unstuffed Cabbage Rolls



2 tablespoons Olive Oil

1 pound Ground Beef

2 teaspoons Smoked Paprika

1 teaspoon Italian Seasoning

1 teaspoon Salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1 Sweet Onion Chopped

1 tablespoon Minced Garlic

1 cup uncooked long grain rice

2 (8 ounce) cans tomato sauce

1 cup beef broth

1/2 cup ketchup

1 small Head Green Cabbage, Cored and Chopped

1 (14 ounce Can) Diced Tomatoes

Chopped Parsley, for Garnish

Hot Sauce, For Serving (Optional)


Recipe Directions

1. Sauté oil, venison and onion in your Can Cooker on low medium heat until the venison is browned and the onions are translucent.

2. While the venison is cooking, add in smoked paprika, Italian seasoning, salt and black pepper.

3. Once the venison is browned and the onions are translucent, add garlic to the CanCooker and sauté for an additional minute.

4. Stir in the rice, tomato sauce, broth, and ketchup. Then mix in cabbage and diced tomatoes.

5. Latch lid and cook until the cabbage is tender and the rice is cooked, approximately 20-25 minutes.

6. Taste and add any additional salt and pepper if desired. Serve immediately, garnished with fresh parsley.
